Who We Are
a little more about us
We are
fede & gio
We are Federica and Giorgia, a couple in life and travel for eight years now. We are united by a deep passion for the world’s beauty, born at a time when everything seemed to stop: during Covid, when time expanded and we allowed ourselves the luxury of dreaming big.
We are both physiotherapists in our daily lives. Federica was born in 1993 and is from Lake Orta. Giorgia is from 1985 and comes from Luino, where we live together now, surrounded by mountains, water, and sky.
that’s how The Traveling Brain was born
a place where we collect emotions, discoveries, and glimpses of the world through our photographs and videos
We love telling the story of travel with gentleness, without overloading it with unnecessary words. We let the images, the atmospheres, the silences, and the details speak for us.
We look for places that can inspire emotion, not necessarily luxurious, but well-cared-for and authentic. We prefer boutique hotels immersed in nature, experiences that stray from the most beaten paths, and the incredible privilege of observing animals in their natural habitat, free.
We don’t have a heroic mission. We just want to give good recommendations: accommodations that are worthwhile, experiences that genuinely touched us. We’re not interested in chasing trends: we prefer to share what made our hearts vibrate, hoping it will do the same for our readers.

We have an identical tattoo, etched on our skin and in our hearts: the coordinates of the Rainbow Mountain in Peru, the place where we were moved, exhausted, and happy, after a climb that seemed impossible. A moment we will never forget.

The quality of our content, yes, but also our gentle and sincere way of telling our story. We are a couple, and we show ourselves just as we are, naturally. Without forcing anything. Without needing to over-explain.
